A fresh face for dewatering

Two of the Australia’s dewatering and power generation companies have merged together to form a new company within the pump and power hire industries.

Resource Equipment Limited (REL) and National Pump Services (NPS) recently joined forces to become one of the country’s largest pumping, power generation and compressed air specialists.

National Pump & Energy (NPE), will officially hit the market in mid-August 2015.

Managing Director of National Pump & Energy, Rod Hayes, said the joining of the 2 companies is an exciting move forward.

“The launch of NPE further expands our capabilities with a distribution network spanning all major mining and construction projects across Australia,” he said.

“While we may have a new name and look, we are far from a new player in the industry. We now have one of the largest specialist equipment fleets in Australia and over 25 years combined experience in water management and power generation”.

REL have predominantly focussed on the West Australian mining market and NPS has its roots in Queensland. The newly formed alliance means that NPE will now have the experience and capability to offer increased and more specialised turn-key solutions to clients in more locations and industries.

Products and services now offered by the amalgamated company now range from pump hire, pipeline construction and water management, through to generator hire and continuous power systems.

“With locations in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Port Hedland, Mackay, Brisbane and Newcastle and delivery capabilities Australia-wide, NPE now have the market covered for any water management, power generation or compressed air needs,” said Mr Hayes.
