Murray Irrigation will conduct a ballot to fill three of the five member director positions on the company’s restructured board.

The ballot will open on 27 April 2018 and close on 28 May 2018.

Candidate nominations were made public on Friday 20 April 2018 after the company conducted standard ASIC checks such as bankruptcy, director eligibility, criminal record and other routine due diligence measures.

Candidates were also briefed on their roles and responsibilities as a director and signed up to the Directors’ Code of Conduct.

Friday’s announcement will also give the candidates time to discover who else is running, before confirming if they wish to contest the ballot or withdraw their nominations.

The membership of the board, which is expected to be finalised in June 2018, will comprise five member directors and three independent directors.

The nominations come from a range of backgrounds and represent a good cross-section of enterprises across the footprint.
