Brown Brothers Engineers has strengthened its partnership with Layne Bowler as the exclusive distributer of its vertical turbine pumps in both Australia and New Zealand.
Brown Brothers Engineers carry a comprehensive range of pump components for Layne Bowler pumps, including column and shaft, and has engineering facilities that allow it to promptly build these pumps.
Layne Bowler’s history can be traced back to 1882 when the inventor Mahlon Layne drilled his first well and found himself in need of a pump to deliver water from it. He also understood that the pump he required would need to be different from all existing pumps of that time.
In 1903 Mahlon Layne and entrepreneur P.D. Bowler joined in a manufacturing venture called Layne and Bowler in the Mississippi basin, US, where they manufactured vertical turbine pumps for use in cased wells or where the water level is below the practical limits of surface pumps. From the Mississippi Basin, Layne Bowler pumps are now installed in all parts of the world.
Layne Bowler Pump Company was established in Ankara, Turkey in 1965, where innovation and engineering development never stop with Layne Bowler continuing to introduce new pump ranges.
Layne Bowler’s premises in Ankara covers 42,000m² where its qualified engineers and experienced technicians continue to serve the energy, industrial, municipal and agricultural markets.
