CIRCOR International has announced plans to acquire Indian pump manufacturers Swelore Engineering and Hiro Nisha Systems, a move that significantly broadens its industrial pump portfolio and strengthens its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.

The agreement, expected to close later this year, will see both companies integrated into Allweiler India, CIRCOR’s existing pumps business. The deal brings a combined legacy of more than 50 years in diaphragm metering pumps, dosing packages, and high-pressure reciprocating pumps, extending CIRCOR’s global reach across chemical and water markets.

Tony Najjar, President and CEO of CIRCOR International, said the acquisition represented a critical step in the company’s global growth strategy. “The acquisition of Swelore and Hiro Nisha was a strategic milestone that strengthened our Industrial business, expanded our offering, and enhanced our presence in one of the world’s most dynamic markets,” Najjar said.

According to CIRCOR, the addition of Swelore and Hiro Nisha reflects a long-term commitment to the Indian market and an ambition to provide a wider suite of pump technologies to customers worldwide. Hiren Mistry, Senior Director & GM, India Pumps, said the combination of teams would deliver new opportunities. “The integration strengthened CIRCOR’s long-term commitment to India and broadened its offering beyond screw and centrifugal pumps. The combined teams would work together to deliver expanded customer solutions,” Mistry said.

For the acquired businesses, joining a global platform offers scope to build on established reputations and customer relationships. Chirantan Gajjar, Managing Director of Swelore Engineering, and Royal Gajjar, Managing Director of Hiro Nisha Systems, emphasised the significance of the agreement. “Joining CIRCOR marked a proud moment for our businesses and our teams,” they said. “We built our reputations on technical excellence, reliability, and long-standing customer partnerships. CIRCOR shared these values, and we were excited to be part of a global platform that would help us grow and innovate even further.”

The acquisition also extends CIRCOR’s employee ownership program to the workforce of both Swelore and Hiro Nisha, enabling staff to participate in the benefits of equity ownership. The current promoters of both companies will remain in leadership roles to guide the next phase of growth and integration.
