Construction soon to begin on Cairns Sewer Pump Station upgrade

Works are underway in Cairns as part of the Cairns Regional Council Sewer Pump Station Program (CRCSPS Program), a two-year works program to upgrade several sewer pump stations in the area.

Council has awarded the contract for these works to JPMI Pty Ltd.

Works will commence early October 2013 on the Sewer Pump Station CB5 located in Gibson Close, Clifton Beach, and are expected to be completed by early November 2013, subject to favourable weather conditions.

Mid-November  will see the start of works on the Sewer Pump Station TB3 located on Vasey Esplanade, Trinity Beach, while works on the Sewer Pump Station RR2 located on Reed Road, Trinity Park, Cairns, are expected to commence late October.

The proposed works will involve upgrading the station with new switchboards and pumps, and painting of the internal structures.
