The Gorman-Rupp range of Super T Series self-priming centrifugal wastewater pumps can be manufactured in CD4MCu.
CD4MCu is a duplex stainless steel, which is more corrosion resistant than 316 grade stainless steel and up to 50 per cent harder than 316.
This makes the material extremely suitable for use when pumping water that is corrosive and abrasive.
Gorman-Rupp’s Super T series range of pumps can be mounted high and dry above wet wells (up to 7.6m), making them easy to access for maintenance or repair.
It is also safer for operators to work on self-priming pumps because they can access them without having to open wet well hatches which would otherwise expose operators to working at heights and working over water.
Operators also do not have to employ lifting devices or cranes to retrieve pumps.
This range of pumps is also perfectly suited for pumping solids laden flows because they are capable of handling spherical solids up to 76mm dia with most models – those of 100mm discharge and larger.
They are also capable of handling stringy materials such as rags and wet-wipes because of their self-cleaning wear plate system.
If something large does make its way into the pump like a blanket or towel, the pump’s large removable inspection cover-plate allows quick and safe access for operators.
These CD4MCu constructed pumps are used for pumping brine solutions or wastewater applications where corrosive chemicals are present.
They are suitable for flows from 5 l/s up to 200 l/s and for pressures to 40m.
