Fire pumps are high pressure water pumps designed to boost the pressure in a building’s hydrant service where extra pressure is needed. These pumps are usually powered by electricity or diesel, and connect either to the municipal water supply or another static water source. Types of fire pumps include horizontal split case, vertical split case, vertical inline, vertical turbine, and end suction.
