Vacuum pumps work by removing air and other gases from the vacuum chamber, and are used in a wide range of applications, including in the industrial, mining, manufacturing and medical sectors. There are three kinds of vacuum pumps available depending on the operating pressure range: positive displacement pumps (low vacuums), momentum transfer pumps (high vacuums), and entrapment pumps (ultra high vacuums).
