Registrations are now open for the National Energy Efficiency Conference 2014, which will take place at Swissôtel Sydney on 11 and 12 November.
Delivered by the Energy Efficiency Council, the conference will see global efficiency experts, business leaders, senior policy makers and major energy users come together to explore the biggest issues currently facing the energy efficiency sector.
Critical issues
The conference program features senior leaders including Innes Willox, CEO of the Australian Industry Group, Jillian Broadbent AO, Chair of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and other leading Australian and international experts, who will tackle critical topics including:
- What does falling electricity demand mean for Australia?
- How can we help business adjust to rising gas prices?
- What does the future hold for electricity networks?
- How do we unleash the potential of district energy?
- How can we engage households to reduce peak demand?
- How can the sector transition from subsidies to a sustainable market?
There’ll also be technical sessions and workshops on a broad range of topics including HVAC & refrigeration, data centres, quality assurance, cogeneration, lighting controls, thermal energy and much more.

Celebrating efficiency excellence
The conference will feature the National Energy Efficiency Industry Awards 2014.
Delivered by the Energy Efficiency Council in partnership with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, the awards are Australia’s highest profile awards for energy efficiency.
They recognise excellence in performance, leadership and innovation in categories including commercial, industrial and residential efficiency, SME projects, demand response, cogeneration and energy saving. A special award, supported by the Energy Users Association of Australia, recognises Australia’s ‘Leading Energy User’.
Nominations are open until 1 October, with the awards being presented at the Gala Dinner of the National Energy Efficiency Conference 2014 on 11 November.
