The Dubbo City Council will soon commence construction of the Eumungerie Water Supply. The construction is anticipated to be completed in 2015/2016. This scheme will supply reticulated potable water to the villages of Eumungerie and Mogriguy.
Council plans a significant investment in infrastructure for the Eumungerie Water Supply Scheme with the provision in the forward budgets of just over $4.03 million in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015.
The construction project includes a pumping station at Brocklehurst and a 16.6 km rising main from Brocklehurst along the Mogriguy Road towards a 100 kilolitre capacity reservoir and a chlorinator system to be located south of Eumungerie.
There will be an 11.5 km long reticulation main from the reservoir to the reticulation network within Eumungerie village and a 3.2 km long reticulation main from the reservoir back to Mogriguy. Water will be distributed via 4 km of reticulation pipe within Eumungerie Village and 0.7 km of reticulation pipe within Mogriguy village.
