The International Standards Organisation (ISO) has requested feedback, via Standards Australia, on an “aged” pump standard, i.e. a standard that is now over ten years old.
The Pump Industry Australia (PIA), as a member of Standards Australia’s Pump Committee ME-030, is thus seeking information from its members and other organisations regarding ISO 13709:2009 Centrifugal pumps for petroleum and natural gas industries.
The questions to be answered by the pump industry are:
- Is this standard used in Australia?
- Should this standard be retained?
- Should this standard be revised?
