Weddin Shire Council has progressed the Grenfell Sewerage Treatment Plant upgrade to the investigation stage, with the initial project plan and risk assessment being prepared.
Additional data is being obtained relating to inflows to assist with recommendations for design and type of plant.
Survey works have also been completed with a meeting set down for early June 2017 with consultants and staff to further progress the project.
The $8.81 million project was announced in September 2016 as part of the NSW Government’s $110 million Regional Water and Wastewater Backlog Program to ensure regional communities have the right infrastructure to build for the future.
