Grundfos Australia has announced some changes to their distribution arrangements.

Grundfos Pumps Pty Ltd (Australia) and Grundfos Pumps NZ Ltd (New Zealand) will be supporting and selling the DAB brand in Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Grundfos Australia has also has entered into a separate representative Agreement with Pump Engineers (Australia) Pty Ltd. Under the Agreement, Pump Engineers Australia will act as a Grundfos Industrial Solutions Distributor in Australia. Both changes are effective retrospectively from 1st January 2013.

The DAB brand has been owned by the Grundfos Group for over 15 years and this change is seen a natural development with the aim to provide the highest level of sales and service support for the DAB product range in Australia and New Zealand.

The new arrangement will allow Grundfos the opportunity to provide an unrivalled two tiered product and solution offering via both the Grundfos and DAB brands. It also further strengthens Grundfos’ position in the domestic, rural, agriculture and professional irrigation markets in Australia and New Zealand.

Steen Holm Jensen, Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps Pty Ltd said of the arrangement, “We trust that our Authorised Dealer Network will value this opportunity to work with two strong pump brands, and we look forward to working with them to provide additional value to this important market beyond what existing competitors and new niche players can provide.”

The operations of the existing DAB distributor, White International Pty Ltd, will not be affected.

With regard to the Pump Engineers arrangement. The company says it will provide the combined Grundfos and Pump Engineers Australia customer network with access to unrivalled solution offerings for the Industrial sector. This will be achieved via the extensive Grundfos Group brand portfolio, as well as the niche range of products supported by Pump Engineers Australia.

This agreement will see the collaboration and cooperation of two of the industries key organisations. Grundfos are renowned for their innovative, energy efficient pumps and pumping solutions, while Pump Engineers Australia have a strong reputation in the local Australian market for their professional design and installation of pumping systems for Industrial applications.
Steen Holm Jensen, Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps Pty Ltd said of the arrangement, “We believe that there are sizeable synergies to be gained through this arrangement, including in training activities, reach with respective sales forces, product availability, after sales service and technical advice.
“We will jointly do our utmost to ensure the new cooperative agreement provides value to the market beyond what existing competitors and any niche players can provide today or into the future.”
Grundfos Pumps Australia will continue to distribute and sell all of its brands into the market.
