AIRAH has announced the fourth and final keynote speaker for the 2024 HVAC Innovation Conference (HVAC24), which will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane from 12–13 September.

Keynote Craig Rispin is one of the world’s leading futurists, renowned for his expertise in emerging business, people, and technology trends – and how companies can profit from them. His presentation will explore the future of the HVAC industry as it approaches 2050, focusing on the impact of the fourth industrial revolution.

Titled ‘Know first, be first, profit first: Engineering the Future 2050,’ the presentation will delve into how AI, data and sustainability will reshape engineering work in the built environment and highlight the crucial role of the prompt engineer in this new landscape. Mr Rispin will offer insights into how organisations can innovate and thrive in an era of rapid technological advancement and environmental responsibility.

As the head of the Future Trend Group, Mr Rispin’s insights are powered by AI research. He analyses over one million data sources to reveal the future of any industry or major topic. With more than thirty years of experience collaborating with some of the most innovative organisations globally, he has been at the forefront of where the future is created.

Mr Rispin is the first speaker out to bat on day one at HVAC24. Other keynote speakers will include David Henderson from James Cook University, Irina Lindquist from Stantec, and Professor Bronwyn King AO from the Burnet Institute.
