Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) have been awarded the Engineer, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contract for the Central Processing Facility (CPF) for the Ichthys LNG Project. The CPF is the primary vessel of two offshore vessels which will be located at the Browse Basin Field WA-285-P which lies 440km north of Broome and 800 Km southwest of Darwin.

The CPF is permanently moored, column-stabilized production unit and has similar form to a semi-submersible rig.
