A booster pump will be installed at the Hawker District Playing Fields in Hawker, Canberra, as part of an upgrade to the irrigation system to create a better playing space.
The outdated irrigation system will be replaced and a booster pump installed at the Hawker 1 football grounds alongside Murranji Street to improve the irrigation system. These upgrades will help keep the ground fit for play for the Belsouth Football Club, visiting teams and recreational users.
Early works to begin the improvements to the irrigation system at Hawker District Playing Fields are expected to begin in late June 2018. The fields will be closed from early July 2018 and works are due to be completed in September 2018.
