Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) has welcomed a new CEO to the company.
Brett Jones will now take over the role as CEO of the Company. MI Chairman, Gillian Kirkup, said that he brings with him strong leadership skills as well as extensive experience within the water industry.
“Brett comes to MI with the reputation as an innovative decision maker who is approachable and capable of building positive relationships with shareholders, customers and staff,” said Mrs Kirkup.
Mr Jones was most recently the CEO/ Chief Operations Officer of a private renewable energy business. Prior to this he has worked at Snowy Hydro as an Executive Manager for 13 years and with BHP for 18 years.
Mrs Kirkup thanked Matt Thorpe, who was Acting CEO for the past three months and will now return to his previous role as MI Operations Manager.
