New director for mining pump company

Paul Jeffery press image220915A new appointment and shareholder for a major Australian-owned and operated underground mining pump system company has been announced.

Paul Jeffery has been appointed Director of Engineering and company shareholder at Challenge Pumps.

In this new role, Paul will be responsible for Product Development, Engineering Support and Product Quality.

Mr Jeffery is placed in the top 10 of the world for his niche in progressive cavity pump engineering and underground mine de-watering expertise and has worked across the globe on cutting-edge agricultural and solar products. He was previously the Managing Director of Mono Pumps and responsible for the Australian, New Zealand and Chinese business units.

Director of Sales and Marketing, Paul Luscombe says, “We are pleased to have such a high calibre expert in the underground mining field to join our team.

“Challenge Pumps have grown considerably in the last 20 years and we believe the appointment of Paul Jeffery will accelerate our business growth and aid the organisation to delve into new markets globally,” said Mr Luscombe.

Mr Jeffery’s main focus in the role has been to further expand Challenge Pumps product offering to the underground mining market and ultimately offer more cost effective turn-key solutions to our clients.

“My first major project has been really ground breaking. We are looking forward to releasing a more cost effective, efficient and user-friendly pump system to the market in the next couple of months, I’m really excited to be a part of an innovative team, willing to push boundaries and invest in research and development,” concluded Mr Jeffery.

Paul Jeffery’s appointment is a strategic business decision that will aid Challenge Pumps to be a bespoke and globally competitive pump station leader in the marketplace.
