Stuarts Point bridge

The Council of Kempsey Shire, New South Wales, is starting an important project to study groundwater, stormwater, and flood risk.

The first stage of the project, undertaken at Stuarts Point, will involve the installation of groundwater bores in various locations within the road reserve around Stuarts Point..

These groundwater bores will provide valuable data to the Council, helping to gain a better understanding of the complex groundwater situation in Stuarts Point. The locations for the groundwater bores have been carefully selected to provide cross-sectional data over Stuarts Point, which will be used for modelling purposes. This data will be crucial in developing long-term solutions to address issues related to groundwater in the area.

By working together, the Council and community can develop effective solutions to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for Stuarts Point.

From 17 April 2023, residents of Stuarts Point will notice workers carrying out this project, with drilling activities expected and some locations requiring traffic control measures. It is kindly requested that residents follow directions and drive with caution in the project areas.
