Potential Northern Branch Canal growth

Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) is exploring the feasibility of increasing the capacity of the Northern Branch Canal in the Yenda and Myall Park (NSW) area to enable future growth and opportunities in the region.

MI is seeking expressions of interest from existing and potential Northern Branch Canal water users to take up the extra delivery capacity and contribute on a one-off basis to the capital cost of the additional works.

Works to significantly increase the capacity of the Northern Branch Canal will leverage benefits from the current Private Irrigation Infrastructure Operators Program (PIIOP2) modernisation works on the canal.
