FELUWA’s FELICS system delivers predictive pump maintenance with real-time diagnostics and remote insights for industrial operations.

In process-heavy industries, unplanned downtime is more than an inconvenience. It leads to lost production, wasted energy, and costly emergency repairs. That is where smart pump monitoring systems like FELICS come into play, helping operators shift from reactive maintenance to proactive planning.

FELICS is the latest digital add-on developed by FELUWA for its Pump Condition Guard SMART system. The system offers real-time data capture, intelligent diagnostics and predictive maintenance insights tailored for heavy-duty pumping environments.

According to FELUWA, FELICS has been designed for usability. The interface features clear text alerts and a traffic light system for status checks. These tools are designed to help operators make quick, informed decisions about pump performance and safety.

One key benefit, FELUWA said, FELICS provides is early detection of problems. The system monitors signals to detect wear, sediment build-up or data loss before those issues escalate. By surfacing these problems earlier, FELICS helps teams take preventive action and avoid expensive downtime.

The platform supports both remote and on-site access through a local HMI and a customisable web dashboard. FELUWA said this ensures that operators and managers can review pump performance wherever they are and respond more quickly to trends or faults. For facilities operating in potentially explosive environments, the system can be configured to meet ATEX requirements.

FELICS is designed to integrate with existing digital infrastructure and adapt to the specific needs of each pump installation. FELUWA said this flexibility makes it especially useful for industries with critical pumping systems, such as those in the chemicals, mining, or water treatment sectors.

As industries face growing pressure to improve asset availability and lower maintenance costs, condition-based monitoring tools will continue to shape the future of pump operations.
