A mineral springs hand water pump has been closed to the public until water testing is completed.
Parks Victoria District Manager Tony English has advised the Tipperary Springs mineral water pump in Hepburn Regional Park has been closed temporarily.
“We have been advised by public health officers that Parks Victoria should close the pump and pit until further tests are conducted,” Mr English said.
“There is no need for any public concern. As many locals are aware, the hand pumps are closed from time to time depending on water quality.
“The Tipperary Springs area itself remains open for everyone to enjoy. The area has beautiful views and is an access point for delightful walks, including along the creek. The reserve is still a great place for visitors, with a picnic table and toilets available.
“I’d like to thank the public for their patience while the water testing is being undertaken.”
