Queensland Bulk Water Supply Authority (trading as Seqwater) has alerted the market that it intends to publicly advertise a tender for operations & maintenance services for its bulk water transport network in early April 2013.
It is intended that the tender will seek offers from entities with significant and recent experience in water supply operations (incl. pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs & chemical dosing), a wide range of routine and reactive maintenance (incl. civil, mechanical, electrical and facilities management services) and minor capital works.
While Seqwater will consider more than one entity working together to provide the services Seqwater will require a seamless service with a single point of responsibility.
The successful tenderer will be required to mobilise in June 2013 and take over full responsibility for the provision of the services by 31 August 2013. A contract term of 2 years with an option of a further 1 year is envisaged at this time.
