Motion Fluid Power Solutions engineers corrosion-resistant hose assemblies that help the island’s biggest salmon and seaweed producers stay productive and compliant under pressure.

Tasmania’s aquaculture sector works in some of the harshest marine conditions in Australia. Salt spray, bio-fouling and round-the-clock operation mean a single hose failure can halt fish transfers or net cleaning right when temperatures rise and livestock must be moved to deeper, cooler pens.

At the same time, strict EPA oversight leaves no room for leaks or unplanned discharge.

Motion helps tackle these pain points through expert support, field visits, in-house hose and assembly fabrication, and a 24/7 supply chain that puts critical spares only hours away.

For raw-water pumps, desludging, and bulk live-fish transfer, Motion supplies premium large hoses such as the Optima PVC suction and delivery hose – fabric-reinforced for higher working pressure, with a raised helix that drags easily across rough decks. This hose stays flexible in winter, offers a clear wall for quick flow checks, and its smooth bore minimises head-loss.

Large-bore sizes (from 8 to 12-inch) suit ship-to-shore salmon and seaweed transfers alike.

Net cleaners, remotely operated winches and feed-barge cranes demand safe, consistent high-pressure performance. Motion stocks a two-inch Ultra-Tuff spiral hydraulic hose (such as Exitflex EXUT5) with an abrasion-resistant cover and ISO 18752 constant-pressure rating that stands up to tight bends and deck impact.
