Delta Electricity (NSW) is currently seeking offers from suitably qualified contractors for air extraction pump repairs for Vales Point Power Station.
Summary of specification
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which Delta Electricity desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether Specification documents should be obtained from Delta Electricity for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer’s offer.
Purpose of work
The works required under this contract is to carry out repairs to Four (4) Air Extraction Pumps for Vales Point Power Station in order to maintain pump reliability and minimise plant outages for a period of two (2) years.
Location of site
The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.
Extent of work
The extent of the work is for the Contractor to provide all the necessary equipment and spare parts required to carry out the overhaul of the pumps.
The Contractor will be responsible for all the rectification work necessary to bring the pumps back to as new condition.
At the Contractor’s Workshop, strip the pump down and prepare a Condition Report that will as a minimum:
a) Contain 10 photographs of all stripped down elements of the pump;
b) Have a written explanation of each photograph;
c) Contain repair options with fixed price for each; and
d) Be provided in electronic format.
The Contractor will submit a lump sum price per pump for the repair based on the previously obtained Fibre-optic reports.
The repairs to the pump must be completed within a maximum of two (2) weeks from receipt of pump at Contractors workshop unless otherwise approved.
