Eagle Downs Coal is seeking suitably accredited sub-contractors to undertake the construction of a sewage treatment plant at the Eagle Downs Coal Project in Queensland.
The sewage water treatment plant will be supplied as a complete design and construct turnkey package, including all necessary tanks, pumps, mechanical equipment, piping and electrical equipment to provide a fully functional unit.
The scope of supply is for design, manufacture, factory acceptance testing, vendor documentation, delivery to site, installation and commissioning by the vendor.
Upon delivery, the MIA building and civil contractor will be responsible for unloading, storage and placement of the equipment at the installation point. This contractor will also be responsible for supplying services to the system, including final installation and termination of the remote fibre-optic network cable. The sewerage treatment plant contractor will be responsible for installation and commissioning of all package equipment, including tanks, interconnecting pipe work, instrumentation, electrical, concrete slabs, etc. Commissioning and handover of the system will be performed by the vendor.

About the project:
The Eagle Downs Coal Project is located in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, adjacent to, and immediately down dip from, the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance operating Peak Downs Coal Mine.
The Project involves construction, development and operation of an underground longwall hard coking coal mine, Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) and associated infrastructure over an estimated mine life of 47 years for all target seams. The target seams for the project include the Harrow Creek Upper, Harrow Creek Lower and Dysart seams.
