Motion has brought together its fluid power, hydraulic industrial and commercial hose and fittings services to one location, with two upgraded Perth facilities incorporating driveline, hydraulics, gas turbine valves, undercarriage, final drives and engineering capabilities.

This strategic move delivers stronger service, broader solutions, and faster response for mining and industrial customers.

Mining customers operating in Western Australia understand the stakes of downtime. In such demanding environments, every component – from a critical hose assembly to a driveline rebuild – needs to perform reliably.

To better meet that demand, Motion has undertaken a strategic reorganisation of its Perth operations, consolidating key capabilities across two purpose-aligned facilities in Kewdale and Welshpool.

Motion’s integrated facility – Powell Industrial – is equipped for high-volume production, rapid custom assembly, and complex project work. Importantly, it caters for metallic hoses, with specialised applications for oil and gas with ASME-approved coded welding qualifications.

For customers, the advantages are clear: faster turnaround, more comprehensive inventory, and deeper technical support across a wider product range.

The Kewdale facility now offers both Gates and Exitflex hose solutions, allowing for flexible, fit-for-purpose selection. But the capabilities go well beyond hose and fittings.

With full manifold fabrication, kit assemblies, and the ability to design and deliver turnkey hydraulic solutions, the team at Kewdale is positioned to handle both routine supply and bespoke project builds.
