The NT State Government is rolling out over $10 million worth of infrastructure projects to unlock the final stages of the Zuccoli subdivision.
The Zuccoli sub-division, located in the city of Palmerston, is part of the Government’s strategic approach to land release as the population of Darwin grows rapidly over the next 20 years.
Works include a connecting road and bridge, water main, and a sewerage pump and rising main.
NT Minister for Infrastructure, Peter Styles, said these works will not only provide access to sites for development but will connect parts of Zuccoli to the essential services needed by future residents.
“These are large scale works that will cater for a majority of the needs for Zuccoli as this suburb rapidly develops,” Mr Styles said.
“In addition to the essential service works of water and sewage, a 700m section of road including a bridge over Mitchell Creek will connect the southern section of Zuccoli with Roystonea Ave and the rest of Palmerston.”
