Typical roles for pumps in the industry include transporting hydrocarbons, raw water supply, produced water disposal, chemical injection, secondary recovery and dewatering. Pumps also play a key role in the recovery of unconventional oil and gas reserves, transporting the water required in the process of hydraulic fracturing.
