The proposed Coborra Open Cut Coal Mine is currently seeking general expressions of interest from contractors for a range of works including a new pump station.
The project is a proposed new open cut coal mine located in NSW, approximately 5km south of Cobbora, 22km south west of Dunedoo, 64km north west of Mudgee & 60km east of Dubbo.
Construction is planned to commence in mid 2013. Mine operations will start in the first half of 2015. A mine life of 21 years is proposed.
The mine site development will include a coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP), admin buildings, workshop equipment storage and train loading facilities .
Associated infrastructure including rail spur, water supply, pumping stations, access roads, powerlines, and electrical substations.
Expressions of interest for these works can be submitted via the ICN Gateway by 1 August 2013 and some packages, such as the water treatment plant are due April 10, 2013.
