ESD Simulation Training is pleased to announce the introduction of two new course offerings this year for engineers and operations personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of pumping equipment, as well as process operators, technicians and procurement personnel.

Pumping Fundamentals and Pump Systems will be available this December and January in Perth and Brisbane. The Pump Fundamentals course is designed to address the impact of design parameters on the selection of pumps as well as, pumping systems and pump operation.  This knowledge enables delegates to identify operating conditions which cause pump and system operating problems. The Pump systems course is designed to provide the tools and knowledge for designing a pump system by examining the factors that influence design such as NPSH, friction head, multiple pump operation and system curves. Delegates will be able to design an efficient pumping system and determine the performance of the system upon completion of the course.  Both courses are certified by the British Pump Manufacturer’s Association and are taught by industry expert, Ivor Rhodes.

“The BPMA represents the gold standard in the pump industry,” says Mark Dixon, Founder and Technical Director of ESD Simulation Training. “We’re delighted to be offering these new courses and consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have someone with Ivor’s depth of knowledge on our faculty.”

Rhodes, a licensed BPMA representative, is a well-known Pumping Consultant, Trainer, and former Chairman of the Fluid Machinery Group with over 30 years in the business.

“These intensive one-day courses will give delegates a solid, in-depth understanding of pump performance, construction, and selection,” says Rhodes.

Delegates have two dates and locations to chose from:

December 2, 2013 Pump Fundamentals Perth

December 3, 2013 Pump Systems Perth

January 29, 2014 Pump Fundamentals Brisbane

January 30, 2014 Pump Systems Brisbane

“As a recognized leader around the world in technical training, ESD has a broad range of courses available to engineers in the oil and gas and process industries,” says Dixon. “Having such a well-credentialed professional doing the training will ensure our delegates have a top-notch experience.”
