Birkenhead point (NSW) has received a $9m upgrade to its floating marina infrastructure. The upgrades include a floating fuel dock and sewage pump station.
Works on the privately-owned floating marina on Sydney Harbour began in 2014, originally undertaken by Abacus Property Group, followed by Mirvac as the lead contractor.
The new floating fuel dock is 70 metres long and offers both diesel and premium unleaded fuel supplies via four browsers. A diesel pump able to deliver 300 litres per minute will be dedicated to larger vessels.
The new sewage pump station is linked to a new pump house on the foreshore.
