The Whitsunday Regional Council (QLD) is seeking responses from potential users for some or all of the recycled water produced from council’s recently commissioned wastewater treatment plants.
The water will be fit for purpose irrigation under strict control conditions. Council provides no guarantee that the project will proceed or that the water will be made available to any respondent.
Stage 1 of the proposed scheme consists of the potential supply of recycled water from the Proserpine WTP.
Council’s Proserpine Plant currently produces on average 0.8 ML per day or approximately 300ML per year.
Stage 2 of the proposed scheme consists of the potential supply of recycled water from the Cannonvale WTP.
Expressions of interest close on 23 June 2015 at 10am.
