Volvo Penta is a world-leading supplier of engines and complete power systems for marine and industrial applications. All our efforts strive to give our customers the right product, with the right qualities. We work with a deep commitment to quality, safety and environmental care. Being a specialist company within such a strong organisation as the Volvo Group gives us clear advantages. We have the flexibility of a small organisation together with the technical and financial support needed to constantly pioneer new developments.
Volvo Penta conducts its operations in two overall business segments: Marine and Industrial. Volvo Penta is mostly known for its marine engines and world-leading innovations. However, the most rapidly growing operation for Volvo Penta in the past decade has been sales of industrial engines, which currently represent about 45% of Volvo Penta’s total sales value.
The basis for the industrial engine business is the strength in the Volvo Group’s total product and service offering. Assisted by these, Volvo Penta is able to offer high-technological products, as well as global support. The ambition is to expand industrial engine sales through increased market shares in an increasing number of segments, for example, mining and construction equipment.
Globally the Volvo group are aligning business synergies with the business areas that can positively benefit from the groups strengths. Volvo Penta have apparent connections with their group peers, Volvo Construction Equipment and this move forward in forming a partnership with CJD Equipment, compliments the direction and will further enhance the opportunities and product support for the Volvo Penta Industrial product.
“We look forward to a productive and long term relationship with CJD Equipment, a company that has a product portfolio that allows them to offer a diverse range of quality products to a variety of industries and the staff expertise to support those products.”
