MGJV, a joint partnership between Monadelphous Group and Stork company, Giovenco Industries, has secured a contract for the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program (WA).
MGJV will provide a range of services to the program, including the planning and execution of mechanical services, electrical, access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation services.
The services are scheduled to commence in early 2016 and run for a two-year period.
Located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the North West Shelf Project’s Karratha Gas Plant includes five LNG processing trains, two domestic gas trains, six condensate stabilisation units, three LPG fractionation units as well as storage and loading facilities for LNG, LPG and condensate.
The plant has the capacity to produce 12,000 tonnes of domestic gas per day.
Stork’s EVP Middle East and Asia Pacific, Ronan Mooney, said, “This contract represents the first significant win achieved since the recent acquisition of Giovenco Industries by Stork. We are pleased to be awarded this opportunity by Woodside to see our strategic growth ambitions materialize in the Australian Oil & Gas market.”
Monadelphous Managing Director, Rob Velletri, said the contract represents a milestone for Monadelphous’ oil and gas services.
“Monadelphous has a long-term commitment to the Karratha region and we are particularly pleased to be selected together with our joint venture partner Giovenco as a services provider for this important program of works. We look forward to successfully delivering outstanding services to Woodside”, Mr Velletri said.
Monadelphous has provided project, shutdown and maintenance services to Woodside since 2002.
