Plans are currently underway to upgrade the Blum Boulevard wastewater pump station and install wastewater pipeline in Yalyalup, WA, to support development in the region.

The proposed works would include:

  • Installing 560m of 250mm diameter wastewater pressure main along Hawkers Approach and Gigondas Street.
  • Installing 260m of 300mm diameter and 30m of 600mm diameter wastewater gravity main along undeveloped future roads, Road 50 and Road 48.
  • Upgrading Blum Boulevard wastewater pump station by replacing two pumps and redirecting wastewater flows.

The proposed wastewater pressure main on Hawker Approach and Gigondas Street would be delivered at the same time as another Water Corporation project, the Provence wastewater pump station and pressure main. By combining the scheduling of the pipeline installation for these two projects, disruption to property owners and the community can be minimised. This will mean there will be one trench with two pipelines installed.

The proposed works are scheduled to commence in February 2015, pending approvals, and will continue for approximately 5 months.
