Bankstown City Council, NSW is currently seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of water harvesting infrastructure for the Maluga Lake Wetland Improvement project at Sefton Golf Course.
Section A – Maluga Lake We Section A – Maluga Lake Wetland Improvement
This project for both Separable Portion East and Separable Portion West will aim to;
- Improve water quality entering the site
- Improve water quality and water circulation within the park’s ponds
- Improve the quality of stormwater leaving the site
- Improve habitat quality and availability in, and immediately surrounding, the ponds
- Improve public safety (particularly concerning bank slope, bank stability and water depth near the water’s edge)
- Improve passive surveillance
- Improve park amenity and aesthetics
Separable Portion East
Works include but are not limited to;
(a) Trenching, backfilling, regrading of embankments and revegetation,
(b) Supply and installation of drainage systems,
(c) Supply and installation of pump,
(d) Re-construction of swale, and
(e) Construction of new footbridge, and
(f) Construction of bioretention system.
Separable Portion West
Works include but are not limited to;
(a) Trenching, backfilling, regrading of embankments and revegetation,
(b) Supply and installation of drainage systems,
(c) Supply and installation of pump,
(d) Re-construction of swale,
(e) Construction of bioretention system, and
(f) Construction of sections of Kerb and Gutter, and
(g) Construction of new viewing bridge.
Section B – Sefton Golf Course Stormwater Harvesting
This project will aim to;
- To provide more water for irrigation of greens, tees, and fairways
- To improve the water quality within the existing ponds
- To meet catchment wide water management objectives including a reduction in pollutant loads.
- A reduction in runoff volume.
- A reduction in the frequency of runoff
Works include but are not limited to;
(h) Trenching, backfilling, regrading of embankments and revegetation,
(i) Supply and installation of drainage systems,
(j) Supply and installation of pump, and
(k) Construction of bioretention system.
A mandatory site briefing will be held 10:00am Thursday, 20th February 2014 at the Sefton Golf Course (off Rose St) Sefton NSW followed by Maluga Lake (Woods Road).
Council will not consider a Tender lodged by a Tenderer who fails to sign the attendance sheet at this briefing, or fails to ensure that a representative of the Tenderer signs the attendance sheet on its behalf.
