33 new models introduced to Caprari’s K+ Energy submersible pump range

To meet the needs of the operators in the wastewater industry, who are increasingly concerned with energy efficiency, and operating and management costs, Caprari has expanded the new generation K+ Energy range with 33 new models of 4 and 6-pole electric pumps.

The K+ Energy range—the electric pump dedicated to wastewater management with unique and revolutionary features thanks to the exclusive patent Dry Wet System—was launched on the market in 2018, and has since received many awards for the quality of the innovations they feature. 

The Dry Wet cooling system is certainly the strength of this product: a simple and reliable solution, supplied as standard in the whole range, that allows the customer to use a single electric pump model for both submerged applications and in dry chambers. This solution provides two important benefits: it requires no additional maintenance and does not disperse energy—to the full advantage of the pump’s performance.  

It easily activates onsite, for example in the presence of wet installations with risks of dry running.

The K+ Energy electric pumps are designed to ensure premium performance thanks to motors in efficiency class comparable to IE3 as defined in Regulation 640/2009 specific for surface motors.

The innovative electric pumps feature class H electrical insulation, ensuring maximum thermal shock resistance. 

High-performance materials and new, even “cooler” motors ensure maximum operation reliability in the hardest applications. 

The special cable with double sheath, normally used for ATEX versions, is also used as standard on K+ Energy electric pumps, improving both mechanical and thermal overload resistance. 

Another unique feature of these electric pumps is the conductivity probe in the oil chamber, also supplied as standard in the ATEX version (patented). 

The K+ Energy pumps are provided with double seal, and in case of water infiltration, the alarm signal is immediately sent to the panel; therefore it is possible to promptly carry out maintenance, made easy and cheap thanks to a simple and intuitive construction design. 

The special connector, available as standard on all K+ Energy models, allows quick and safe disconnection of the electric pump, without disconnecting the cable from the power panel, thus significantly reducing the intervention times in the systems. 

The robust upper handle, made of precision-cast stainless steel, is widely sized; this eases handling and facilitates the submersed machine recovery in case of need. 

It also features great installation versatility, thanks to the flanged intake ducts supplied as standard, that always allow (vertical and horizontal) installation, even in dry chambers.
